Most behavior problems aren’t a problem for the dog. They are a natural part of what dogs do. However, we can help them understand what is expected and modify their behavior so they become well-mannered family members.

After thoroughly discussing the situation with you (and your family) and meeting your dog during our consultation, I'll give you a plan for management and behavior modification. Classical and operant conditioning will be used to change the undesirable behaviors that your dog may have learned. The process will be explained in a manner that is easy to understand and implement.

When determining possible causes for the behavior, I also consider diet, exercise, environmental stimulus, breed characteristics, socialization and medical conditions as possible contributing factors. If the situation warrants, I will work closely with your veterinarian to help resolve your dog's behavior problem.
